
GRANT COUNTY (WKOW) -- Authorities in Grant County are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in South Lancaster Township.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office says the accident occurred Thursday morning at 11:11 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 129 and Lincoln Road.
Officials say 57-year-old John Pagel, of Fennimore, was driving his motorcycle south on Highway 129, while following a semi truck.
Officials say a car being driven by 69-year-old Gerald Stark, of Sycamore, Illinois, was traveling east on Lincoln Road.
Authorities say Stark did not stop at the stop sign and drove into the intersection. He crashed into Pagel, who was tossed from his motorcycle. Pagel died at the crash scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
Officials say Stark and his 65-year-old passenger, Linda Stark, were taken to Grant Regional Health Center with minor injuries.
Authorities say this crash remains under investigation.
