MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin's youth deer hunt season starts this weekend.
The statewide hunt is set to run from Saturday through Sunday. Children between the ages of 10 and 15 who haven't completed a hunter's safety course can hunt with a mentor within arm's reach.
If children have completed the hunter's safety course and are between the ages of 12 and 15 they can hunt with an adult if they can be seen and heard at all times.
The state Department of Natural Resources has held a youth hunt since 2009.
