MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced details for the county's 2013 budget on Monday.
Parisi said that his "strengthening communities" budget includes over two-million dollars in road and park investments in Verona.
"Verona is a vibrant community with assets that strengthen the entire county," Parisi said. "I'm proud to include these important investments in the Verona area in my 2013 budget; they address the needs of the community, and enhance the quality of life for area residents and visitors."
The project will include bike lane improvements, construction of a small dog exercise area at Badger Prairie County Park, will help fund a new parking lot at Prairie Moraine County Park, and will help create a community garden.
"I know that next year this is going to be great for our community and really help bring us together and meet the needs of the diverse community that we have," Verona Supervisor Erika Hotchkiss said.
