Edgewood girls lead after day one of state golf


MADISON, Wisconsin (WKOW) - The Madison Edgewood girls are back at it atop the leaderboard at the WIAA State girls golf tournament.  After one day of action at Cherokee Country Club in Madison, the Crusaders lead the Prairie School by five strokes in division two.  Casey Danielson of Osceola is in good shape to win her 4th straight state individual title. She leads Edgerton's Brooke Ferrell by 12 strokes heading into Tuesday's second and final round.

In division one, Kettle Moraine leads Homestead by two strokes in the team competition. Individually Emily Joers of Waukesha leads Beaver Dam's Abby Chase and Verona's Jessica Reinecke by two strokes at +3.  For more results go to www.wiaawi.org
