Virginia Gov. McDonnell to campaign in Green Bay

MADISON (WKOW) -- Republican Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell plans to campaign in Green Bay on behalf of Mitt Romney one month before the general election.

McDonnell is scheduled to host a free victory dinner Tuesday night in Green Bay. Earlier in the afternoon, he and Governor Scott Walker plan to visit with campaign volunteers in Appleton.

McDonnell is the latest surrogate of the campaigns to come to Wisconsin on behalf of either Romney or President Barrack Obama.

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan spent last weekend in Wisconsin, making a number of stops and raising $2.8 million in Milwaukee. Ryan is scheduled to be back in Milwaukee next Sunday for a fundraiser for GOP Senate candidate Tommy Thompson.

President Obama was in Madison last week for a rally that drew 30,000 people.
