Gov. Walker joins Rep. Pence at Colts game

Posted:

WKOW (WKOW)-- Indiana Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Mike Pence is getting support from Governor Scott Walker after he joined the Republican for the Indianapolis Colts game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Colts edged out a 3-point victory over the Packers Sunday. The Journal-Gazette of Fort Wayne reported Monday that Pence said Walker was supportive of him before the Colts' narrow victory but "didn't ask after."

Republican governors have flocked to Indiana to help Pence join their ranks in November. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal raised money for Pence in Fort Wayne last month and New Jersey Governor Chris Christies raised money for him in Carmel earlier in September.

Pence is scheduled to participate in the first gubernatorial debate Wednesday with Democrat John Gregg and Libertarian Rupert Boneham.
