MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A misconduct trial for a former aide to Governor Walker has been canceled, sparing Walker his scheduled appearance as a witness.
Court records show a plea agreement has been reached in the case of Kelly Rindfleisch, who was Walker's deputy chief of staff, when Walker was Milwaukee County executive.
Court records show a plea hearing will take place before Milwaukee County Judge David Hanscher on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say Rindfleisch used her public position to work on the political campaign of then-Lieutenant Governor candidate Brett Davis. Authorities say Rindfleisch exchanged campaign-related emails with others linked to the campaign, on a email system kept secret from most of those in Milwaukee County government. Rindfleisch faces four felony charges.
Walker had received a subpoena to testify at trial.
