Madison Edgewood wins girls D2 golf title

MADISON, Wisconsin (WKOW) - It's become commonplace for the Madison Edgewood girls golf team - hoisting a golf trophy.  For the eleventh time in twelve years, the Crusaders captured a state title - a one-stroke win in Division Two on Tuesday over The Prairie School at Cherokee Country Club.  The Crusaders carded a 674 team score to defeat Racine Prairie School by one stroke.

Individually in D2, Casey Daniels of Osceola won the individual title with a 5-under par 139, 14 strokes better than runner-up Brooke Ferrell of Edgerton.

In Division One, Verona sophomore Jessica Reinecke wins the state girls golf individual title.  Reinecke shot a 2-under par 70 to finish at 3-over 147.  That was three strokes better than defending champion Emily Joers of the Waukesha co-op. Stoughton's Becky Klongland finished fourth at 153.

Mequon Homestead won the Division 1 team title at 671.  Milton finishes 4th at 694. Middleton takes 7th at 714.
