MADISON (WKOW) -- Police say a Madison bicyclist was injured Thursday morning after colliding with a car driven by an elderly woman.
Madison police say the incident occurred at the intersection of Westfield Road and Tree Lane on the city's west side Thursday around 11:20 a.m.
Officials say a 71-year-old woman was driving on Westfield Road when she stopped at a stop sign before continuing on the road. The bicyclist, a 49-year-old Madison man, was peddling west on Tree Lane when he was hit by the car.
Police say the bicyclist was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries.
Madison police say no citations were issued. This incident remains under investigation.
