Soglin impersonators take over Madison

MADISON (WKOW) -- Dozens of people in Madison Friday did their best impression of mayor Paul Soglin.

They did it by taking part in the inaugural Sog Jog.

Everyone was clad in typical Soglin attire, a Hawaiian shirt and a mustache.

Then they walked around the capitol square.

So the question is, what does the mayor think about it?

"I haven't talked to him personally about it. Hopefully he loves the idea. I understand he is going to be coming out today so he at least approves of it," says organizer Erin Stenson.

Soglin did show up and seemed to be having a good time.

Everyone who took part donated $5, which all goes to the United Way of Dane County.

At the Sog Jog, they also handed out prizes for best Hawaiian shirt, best team shirts and best original mustache.
