Milton foreign exchange student advances to state tennis semifinals

MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- Milton's Lea Krajcovicova came to Wisconsin from her native Slovakia to study abroad for a year. But while she's here, she might as well win a WIAA state girls tennis title.

Krajcovicova beat Homestead's Mardee Merar in two sets Friday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium to advance to Saturday's Division 1 semifinals.

In Division 2, Madison Edgewood doubles team Lauren Keller and Morgan Molitor beat a pair from Baldwin-Woodville in two sets. The Edgewood duo will play in Saturday's state semi-final, as well.

Full results from the WIAA state individual girls tennis meet can be found at the WIAA website.
