MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The battle of unbeaten football teams in Mt. Horeb/Barneveld and Waunakee lived up to the hype, and in the end it was Waunakee who came away on top with the help of two interceptions in the final two minutes.
The Warriors beat the Vikings 13-10 to extend their unbeaten streak to 44 games, dating back to October of 2009.
Vikings quarterback Kale Pustina connected with Shane Collins on a 13-yard touchdown pass to put Mt. Horeb/Barneveld up 10-6.
But Waunakee answered as Tyler Reynolds rolled into the endzone for the go-ahead score, 13-10.
Tyler Jensen and Alex Horras each had an interception in the final two minutes to seal the deal for Waunakee.
