TOWN OF YORK (WKOW) – A woman from Blanchardville was injured Friday afternoon when she was dragged by her vehicle.
The Green Count Sheriff's Department said the accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on the N8800 block of Badger Road.
Authorities said Barbara A. Mardones was removing groceries from a vehicle when the vehicle was disengaged from park and began to roll backwards. The 68-year-old tried to enter the vehicle and apply the brake, but officials said her foot became caught and she was dragged down the driveway.
Deputies said the vehicle came to a rest after it collided with two trees.
Authorities said Mardones sustained injuries and was taken to Monroe ER by EMS. The airbags did not deploy and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.
