Badger Honor Flight's fourth and final flight of 2012 left for Washington D.C. this morning and was set to return to Dane County Regional Airport at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
It was a long day for this latest group of World War II heros to take the flight, as they left Madison at 4:30 a.m. It was also likely a day they will never forget.
Badger Honor Flight takes World War II veterans to see the memorial in their honor in Washington, and this group also saw the Marine Corps Memorial, Korean War Memorial and Vietnam War Memorial. They also went to Arlington National Cemetery.
