Men, women and children auditioned at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee Saturday for a chance to
sing the national anthem at a Milwaukee Bucks game.
The
audition lasted six hours and the Bucks' director of game entertainment,
John Watson, says 171 people auditioned.
Watson, his assistant Kris Burnelli
and Bucks' dance team manager Tricia Crawford judged the singers.
Watson told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that 5 to 10 winners will be announced early in the coming week, but one winner is already known. Meri Katherine Bock of Racine was picked to sing at Saturday night's preseason game at the Bradley Center against the Detroit Pistons.
