UPDATE: Michelle Obama to campaign in Racine, Wausau

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW)-- First Lady Michelle Obama will make two campaign stops in Wisconsin Friday.

She is slated to appear at the Racine Civic Center and on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County in Wausau.  President Obama's campaign will release further details of the first lady's appearance soon.

Wisconsin continues to be a major focus for both Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan hosted a fundraiser for Senate candidate Tommy Thompson on Sunday and staged a public rally Monday in Waukesha.

Vice President Joe Biden campaigned in La Crosse this past Friday.

Wisconsin is one of about nine states both sides are competing aggressively to win in an increasingly shrinking electoral map.
