MADISON (WKOW) -- Democrat Tammy Baldwin says she has raised nearly $4.6 million over the three-month period that ended September 30.
Baldwin's campaign said Monday that she entered October with nearly $3.5 million cash on hand. She faces Republican Tommy Thompson for Wisconsin's open U.S. Senate seat.
Both Thompson and Baldwin were required to file new quarterly reports Monday on how much money they have raised and spent over that time.
Thompson said last week that he had raised $2 million since he won the August 14 Republican primary. He had not filed his report as of mid-day Monday.
Baldwin's campaign says she raised nearly $3.6 million since the primary.
