REDGRANITE (WKOW) -- A political sign in northeast Wisconsin is turning heads and confusing voters.
The sign along Highway 21 in the Waushara County town of Redgranite has a noose and, at first glance, it reads, "Hang Obama."
It actually reads, "Hang in there Obama."
The man who made the sign says he supports the president; he even painted it in small print in the corner of the sign.
"It was just my attitude for it. Everybody's picking on Obama. And it's the attitude of 'hang in there, buddy!' It isn't over 'til you're done kicking," said sign creator Thomas Savka.
Savka says the sign is meant to catch people's attention and it has nothing to do with race.
In a statement, the Cbama campaign said the imagery is inappropriate and has no place in public discourse around elections.
