
MADISON (WKOW)-- State officials say the investigation into a shot being fired inside the governor's mansion Thursday night is now complete.
State Department of Administration spokeswoman Stephanie Marquis says the incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. A Capitol Police officer accidentally discharged the weapon inside the security office.
That officer, a newer employee still serving the initial probationary period, has now been terminated.
Governor Scott Walker and his family were not home at the time and no one was injured.

State Department of Administration spokeswoman Stephanie Marquis says the incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. Thursday.
Marquis says Go. Scott Walker and his family were not home at the time and no one was injured.
State officials say the officer has been suspended with pay while the investigation is underway. The investigation is expected to be completed Monday.
Marquis says the officer accidentally discharged the weapon inside the security office at the governor's mansion in Maple Bluff.
