MADISON (WKOW) – The Department of Public Health is looking for information regarding a dog that bit a man on October 16.

The Department of Public Health said the incident occurred around 7 p.m. at Bowman Field located on the 1800 block of Fish Hatchery Road.

According to the press release, a man was preparing to play ultimate Frisbee when he was bit by the dog.

Authorities describe the dog as a medium sized gray dog with a collar and leash.  The owner of the dog is a white male in his 20's with brown hair.

The Department of Public Health asks anyone who has information regarding this incident to contact the Police and Fire dispatcher at (608) 255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer.

If the animal is not located, the male victim will have to complete a series of painful and costly injections to prevent rabies.
