MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The UW football team cracked the top 25 in the BCS standings after Saturday's big win over Minnesota, but just barely. The Badgers are ranked No. 25.
Wisconsin introduced a fourth player at the quarterback position on Saturday: James White.
The Badgers unveiled their own version of the wildcat formation in Saturday's win over the Gophers.
Wisconsin used it four times, one of which resulted in the Badgers' first touchdown, with White taking the direct snap for the 14-yard score.
While many dubbed it the 'Wild Badger,' coach Bret Bielema uses a different name for it.
"Barge. A very big piece of people moving down the field together in unison. I didn't come up with that; that's all Coach Canada. It was fun to see that come through. I know the kids really enjoy it. Everybody gets a kick out of it when we do it in practice," Bielema said.
"They always tell me to be ready 'cause they never know when they'll break it out. The defense was very confused the first time they saw it, so it's always a way to keep the defense off-balance," White said.
The Badgers will try to keep a good Michigan State defense off-balance on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. on WKOW.
