Student robbed on pedestrian overpass


MADISON (WKOW)--  Madison police say a 19-year-old Madison Media Institute student was mugged while working on a school project Sunday night.  It happened in the 300 block of the W. Beltline Highway. 

The student states he was in the midst of taking a series of nighttime traffic photos when he was suddenly struck on the left side of his head.  The blow knocked him down.  When he got back up, he reports seeing two black males heading toward Pheasant Ridge Trail in the Town of Madison.  He estimates the loss of his stolen camera equipment at nearly $1,000. 

The suspects were described as both being between 20-30 years of age, 5'11 and 200 pounds.  One of the men was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a lighter colored hood and the other was wearing a black hoodie.
