
JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a woman found inside a home in Janesville.
The Rock County Sheriff's Department says officers were attempting to serve civil process papers at a home on N. Walnut St. when a deputy heard a gunshot coming from the home.
When officers got inside, they found a 52-year-old woman dead.
No one else was inside the home.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- One person is dead after a report of a shot fired on Janesville's west side.
According to the Janesville Gazette, police were on scene Tuesday morning in the 400 block of North Walnut Street.
Deputy Chief John Olsen told WCLO Radio civil papers were being served at the home and only one person was home at the time.
Police are expected to release additional information Tuesday afternoon.
