UPDATE: Names released in fatal Columbia County crash


COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) -- Officials have released the names of the victims killed in Tuesday's fatal crash in Columbia County.

The sheriff's office says 61-year-old Nancy Duchow, of Pardeeville, and 52-year-old Lori Laper, of Wocena, died when their car crashed with a dump truck on CTH EE Tuesday morning.

Officials say Duchow was the driver of the car.

Authorities say the driver of the truck, 47-year-old David Falk, of Poynette, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident.

This accident remains under investigation.


COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) -- Officials are investigating a fatal crash in Columbia County.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle crash on CTH EE at CTH E and Military Road, which is located near the Village of Pardeeville. The crash occurred around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials say a car was traveling south on CTH EE. The vehicle stopped at the stop sign and then proceeded into the intersection into the path of a dump truck that was traveling west on CTH E. The impact forced the car into the ditch with the dump truck tipping over onto its side.

Authorities say two adult women were in the car at the time of the crash. They died at the scene. Their names are not being released until their families are notified.

Officials say the dump truck driver, 47-year-old David Falk, of rural Poynette, was taken to Divine Savior Healthcare with non-life threatening injuries.

The sheriff's office says the crash remains under investigation.
