
LAKE MILLS (WKOW) -- A handful of agencies are involved in the investigation of a house explosion that officials have deemed suspicious.
Officers were called to a home on Manske Road in Lake Mills around 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. Someone reported the neighbor's basement blew up. The explosion led to a fire in the home, which caused extensive damage.
A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy was told a man and a vehicle were in the driveway of the home about 15 minutes before the explosion.
Based on the investigation at the scene, officers from the State Fire Marshal's Office ruled it was an incendiary fire.
Investigators are looking for more information and they're reaching out to the public for help. Anyone with information should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 920-674-7310.
