Albany woman taken to UW Hospital after crash in Green County

GREEN COUNTY (WKOW) – An Albany woman was taken to UW Hospital by Med Flight after being trapped in her vehicle due to a crash Sunday morning.

The Green County Sheriff's Department said Michelle M. Anderson was the sole occupant of a vehicle heading eastbound on STH 81, west of Dolan Lane, when she failed to negotiate a curve.  Deputies said the 27-year-old's vehicle went airborne over a culvert and rolled several times before coming to a stop on all four wheels in the north ditch.

Authorities said Michelle was wearing her seatbelt during the time of the accident and was trapped inside the vehicle.

Deputies said Anderson had to be extracted from the vehicle and she was transported by Med Flight to UW Hospital Emergency Room for injuries she sustained in the crash.  The vehicle's airbag did deploy and the vehicle sustained very severe damage to all areas.

The Green County Sheriff's Department cited Anderson for inattentive driving ad possession of drug paraphernalia.
