Dekker making transition from state title legend, to Badger

MADISON (WKOW) -- Sam Dekker's performance in last March's Division 5 WIAA boy's state championship game was nothing short of legendary. Dekker's Sheboygan Lutheran team was down eight points to Racince Lutheran with less than a minute to go, but that's when Dekker put his Crusaders on his back.

Dekker scored 12 points in 50 seconds, including the game winning three, as Sheboygan Lutheran won the state title by one-point.

Now, seven months later, Dekker wears the Wisconsin uniform, on that same Kohl Center court that he wont the state championship on. Even his current Badger teammates know about what he did in that state title game, but Dekker is hoping to create new magic on the court to get people talking.
