MADISON (WKOW) -- WKOW's Hurricane Relief telethon in partnership with the Red Cross raised $46,070 Friday.
The money donated goes toward helping the victims of Superstorm Sandy on the east coast.
The Red Cross and WKOW thank all who donated.
WKOW is joining with the Red Cross to hold a telethon on Friday, November 2, to raise money for the people affected by Sandy.
During the "WKOW's Hurricane Relief: Wisconsin Cares" telethon, anyone wishing to make a donation can call 1-866-272-8715 from 6:00 a.m. - 10:35 p.m. on Friday. Operators will be standing by to take your pledge.
The Red Cross is continuing its efforts to bring relief to the large area affected by Sandy along the U.S. east coast.
To date, the Red Cross has been managing more than 250 shelters in 16 states. More than 1,300 Red Cross volunteers have been deployed nationally.

The organization is also trying to make up for thousands of pints of blood lost due to canceled blood drives in the states impacted by the storm. You can scheduled an appointment to donate blood by clicking here.
