Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- A judge says the Argyle teen accused of helping set a fire that killed his three nephews back in September is competent to stand trial.

Jeremy Wand appeared in LaFayette County Court for a competency hearing Thursday morning.

The 18-year-old faces three counts of first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and one count of arson.

Officials say he helped his brother, Armin Wand III, set a fire September 7 that killed Armin's three sons and nearly killed Armin's wife and daughter.

Armin faces similar charges.

Jeremy will be back in court on November 13 for a preliminary hearing. His brother, Armin, is due back in court on the same day.
