BELMAR, NJ (WKOW) -- On Election Day in New Jersey, military trucks will serve as polling places for those areas that won't have power.
For many on the East Coast, voting isn't something they're concentrating on right now.
In Belmar, some people are still getting around by boat. In other areas, they're into rebuilding mode.
People left with waterlogged homes and damaged businesses across the eastern seaboard say they're getting through day by day.
"I think I'm in survival mode, so I'm just going, I'm just doing one step at a time," says Rene Marsh.
Officials say 10,000 Army, Air and National Guard troops have been put on duty in 13 states.
More than 4.5 million homes and businesses are still without electricity.
The death toll has now topped 80.
