UPDATE: Ryan returns to Wisconsin Monday night

Posted:

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- On the night before the election, Republican vice presidential nominee and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan returned to his home state of Wisconsin.

Ryan took part in a rally Monday night at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.

Ryan says Mitt Romney is the man to lead the nation over the next four years. He said they plan to return America to its founding principle -- the idea that the government works for the people, and not the other way around.

Ryan also thanked supporters for their ongoing dedication to the Romney-Ryan ticket.

The Janesville native made four campaign stops in other battleground states before arriving in Wisconsin. But he's not done campaigning yet. After voting in Janesville Tuesday morning, Ryan will visit Ohio and Virginia before joining Mitt Romney at a watch party in Boston.
