MG&E sends crews to help residents in Connecticut, Rhode Island

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Gas & Electric crews are assisting residents in Connecticut following last week's superstorm Sandy.

MG&E says power to the city of Darien, Connecticut is almost fully restored. Company officials say the crew left Madison last Tuesday.

MG&E says another crew of seven left on Election Day for Rhode Island. The group of six technicians and one supervisor will be repairing gas meters and the related hardware outside of homes and businesses. Right now, overnight temperatures are similar to Madison lows, so furnaces are running.
