MILWAUKEE (WKOW) – Milwaukee County sheriff's officials closed a portion of Interstate 94 after a rollover crash left a mother searching for her child.
Authorities said the driver was injured in the crash and she told deputies she couldn't find her child who was traveling with her.
According to WTMJ, Sheriff's spokeswoman Fran McLaughlin said deputies closed the freeway and searched for the child in the dark.
McLaughlin said the mother was injured and confused. The child was actually with a grandmother at the time of the crash.
The driver was taken to Froedtert Hospital and authorities opened the interstate about an hour later.
Deputies said the crash happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 around 5:30 a.m.
