UPDATE: Dodgeville man killed in workplace accident ID'd


MADISON (WKOW) -- Authorities have released the name of the Dodgeville man killed in a workplace accident on Wednesday.

Officials say the accident occurred on just before 9:00 a.m. at Wick Homes on 341 Walter Road in Mazomanie.

Officials say the victim, 54-year-old Marc Nondorf, was working to secure pre-built trusses on a semi-trailer when the accident happened. The medical examiner says Nondorf died of blunt force injuries.

This incident remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff's Office, OSHA, and the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.


MADISON (WKOW) -- A Dodgeville man is killed in a workplace accident in Mazomanie Wednesday morning.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office says authorities responded to Wick Homes on 341 Walter Road in Mazomanie around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday for a workplace accident.

Officials say a 54-year-old man was operating a forklift in the work yard, when a load of trusses collapsed on him. They say the man was moving the trusses onto a flatbed trailer at the time of the accident.

Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the man's injuries were too severe. Officials say he died at the scene.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration will complete an investigation into the incident.

The man's name has not been released at this time, pending notification of his family.
