MADISON (WKOW) -- Work is now underway on the project to redevelop the 100 block of State Street in Madison.
The Block 100 Foundation says crews are starting with the renovation of the Schubert and Stark buildings.
In January, the Haswell, Buell and Vallender buildings will be demolished, and then the Castle and Doyle buildings will be renovated.
The plan calls for a mix of stores, restaurants and offices.
It's scheduled for completion in the spring of 2014.
