MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police say the suspect in an early morning burglary is dead after an officer-involved shooting.
Madison police officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 500 block of South Baldwin Street around 2:45 a.m. When they got there, there was a physical confrontation between the officer and the suspected intruder.
During the struggle, the officer fired his weapon and shot the suspect. The man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene

MADISON (WKOW) -- Police have shot a man outside a home in Madison.
WISN in Milwaukee says police confirmed there was a confrontation with a suspected burglary suspect in the 500 block of South Baldwin Street. An officer opened fire, shooting the man.
There's no word on how badly hurt the suspect is. No officers were injured.
Investigators are still on the scene as of 6:30 Friday morning.
