MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Common Council begins its final budget deliberations Tuesday.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports Mayor Paul Soglin offered some changes to his $266 million plan. He's proposing more funding for the Overture Center, up to $1.35 million now, and eliminating an increase in bus fares.
Council members have countered with a plan that hikes Overture funding up to $1.75 million and also drops the bus fare increase.
