HARTLAND (WKOW) -- WISN in Milwaukee states Hartland North Elementary School was on lockdown because of some type of incident nearby.
Parents of students at the school received this message:
"This is to inform you that a student reported a suspicious male in the wooded area of Hartland North with a weapon. Police were immediately notified and secured the area, locked down the area. Police have coordinated the dismissal and traffic flow. Students were sent home at normal time. Students are safe. Dismissal went as normal."
HARTLAND (WKOW) -- According to WISN in Milwaukee, Hartland North Elementary School is on lockdown at this hour due to an incident nearby.
Parents are able to pick their children up from the school.
A neighbor, who lives near the school, says roads are blocked in the area. She was allowed to go home and told to stay inside.
That neighbor states there was some type of incident in the woods between the school and Highway 16. She she saw officers from Chenequa and Delafield with guns drawn.
