WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- General David Petraeus will testify on Capitol Hill on Friday about the Benghazi attack.
Petraeus is expected to arrive on Capitol Hill at 6:30 a.m.
He will face lawmakers behind closed doors with the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.
When Petraeus testifies on Friday, he's expected to give a timeline of events leading up to and during the Benghazi attack. There has been a lot of focus on Petraeus' affair and whether his conduct compromised national security.
Petraeus will not talk about the affair scandal. He will focus solely about the Benghazi attack.
There have been many questions about the attack. The Obama Administration blamed the attack over an anti-Muslim video. That story later changed, when the Obama administration said it was a terrorist attack.
Lawmakers say once they complete the hearings on the Benghazi attack they would like to hold a public hearing to disclose information that is unclassified.
