MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Tom Serratore's goal early in the third period was the game-winner as Minnesota beat Wisconsin 3-1.
Serratore's second goal of the season snapped a 1-1 tie Saturday. Kyle Rau added an empty-net insurance goal with 24 seconds left in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association game.
Ryan Little's short-handed goal gave the Badgers (1-5-2, 1-3-2) a 1-0 lead with just over three minutes left in the first period.
Nick Bjugstad tied it midway through the second period and it remained tied until Serratore scored the go-ahead goal for the Golden Gophers (7-2-2, 4-2-2) at 5:59 of the third period.
It was all goalie Adam Wilcox from there and the freshman finished with 16 saves for Minnesota. The Gophers outshot Wisconsin 28-17.
Badgers goalie Joel Rumpel made 25 stops.
