Step-mom charged in connection with Mazomanie death will stand trial

MADISON (WKOW) -- The step-mother of a Mazomanie man with autism found dead earlier this month waived her right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Laura Robar will stand trial for using 27-year-old Matthew Graville's food stamps and bank account after his death.

Police say Graville's body was found in the woods in rural Sauk County. His half-brother, Jeffrey Vogelsberg, faces a murder charge in the case.

Authorities say 28-year-old Robert McCumber helped Vogelsberg hide Graville's body. Last week, McCumber waived his right to a preliminary hearing as well, meaning he will also stand trial.

Vogelsberg remains in custody in Washington state.
