Two cows killed when milk truck crashes into herd on highway

GREEN COUNTY (WKOW) -- Two cows were killed in an accident in Green County.

According to www.madison.com, a milk truck struck a herd of cattle standing on the highway around 7:00 p.m. Thursday. The Green County Sheriff's Office says the driver and a passenger were not hurt.

It happened in the town of Clarno, on Wisconsin 11. The driver from Orfordville was going west on Highway 11 when he came upon "numerous head of cattle" in the westbound land. Authorities say he swerved, but was unable to miss all of the cattle.
