EAST TROY (WKOW) -- Walworth County officials responded to a small plane crash Saturday afternoon in the town of East Troy. The pilot, 79-year-old Ronald Scott of East Troy, had to be extricated from the plane and was taken to Waukesha Hospital with head injuries.
Authorities say this was an experimental flight on a plane Scott designed and built known as "Old Iron Sides." He was trying to land on the runway when the plane crashed.
Scott's condition is unknown. The Walworth County Sheriff's Office is coordinating their investigation with the FAA.
