Dane County opens new resource center


MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County opens a new Aging and Disabilities Resource Center for older adults and adults with disabilities.

The ADRC facility at the Northside TownCenter (formerly Sherman Plaza) started accepting phone calls Wednesday. The address is 2865 North Sherman Avenue.

Dane County Executive Joe Parisi said during the ribbon cutting, "Dane County is known for its unparalleled commitment to provide a strong safety net for older adults and adults with disabilities. Our new ADRC is a tremendous resource that will further expand our services for the most vulnerable."

The creation of the facility means about 45 new jobs.
