MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A passenger on a Delta Airlines flight in Milwaukee found a live shotgun shell on the plane.
Officials are still trying to figure out how the shell made it past security.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's department says the passenger told the crew before the aircraft left for Detroit on Wednesday morning.
Security officials then evacuated the plane.
Security crews screened all the passengers again and all were cleared.
A canine also swept the plane and didn't find anything.
A Delta spokesman says the action delayed the flight about an hour, but it landed safely in Detroit later in the morning.
