MADISON (WKOW) -- John Lucas, Director of Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Madison confirms the death of a 21-year-old student.
Lucas states the male died Wednesday. He says the Dane County medical examiner is not releasing any further information surrounding the cause of death at this time.
According to the Badger Herald, the student died at his Langdon Street residence.
Lucas says the university's thoughts and prayers are with the young man's family and friends.
MADISON (WKOW) -- The University of Wisconsin-Madison Dean of students confirmed the death of a student.
According to the Badger Herald, Lori Berquam told the press a student died at his Langdon Street residence on Wednesday. Berquam said the Dane County medical examiner is not releasing any more details surrounding the cause of death at this time.
Berquam said the university's thoughts and prayers go out the student's friends and family.
In a Badger Herald report, Alderman Mike Verveer, District 4, said he received confirmation earlier in the day Wednesday from the Madison Police Department about the student's death.
Verveer told the paper that at this time, foul play is not suspected. He said the case is under active police investigation and the greater community is not at risk.
