SLINGER (WKOW) -- For the first time in five years, people are skiing at Little Switzerland in Slinger.
The Schmitz family bought the ski area and sunk time, money and muscle into bringing it back to life.
Little Switzerland originally opened on an infamous day in history, December 7, 1941.
But in 2007, it fell into financial troubles and the lifts were shut down.
So, the Schmitz family invested.
And it's like coming home for them, since they all learned how to ski here years ago.
