West Allis couple claims $1M Powerball prize

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- They may not have hit the jackpot, but a couple from West Allis took a $1 million prize from Wednesday's drawing.

Mary Retterath and her husband, Dennis, brought their ticket to the Wisconsin Lottery's Madison headquarters Friday.

After taxes, they'll walk away with $672,500.

Mary bought the Quick Pick ticket at a Speedway in West Allis.

The ticket matched all five regular winning numbers, but not the Powerball, in Wednesday's record drawing.

The Retteraths will hold a news conference Monday at West Allis City Hall.
