Teen injured after crashing truck into house

GRANT COUNTY (WKOW) -- A teen was taken to a local hospital after crashing his truck into a Grant County home.

It happened about 5:00 p.m. on Friday on the 300 block of North Main Street in Cuba City. The Cuba City Fire Department and Cuba City Rescue Squad were dispatched to the scene.

A 16-year-old male was driving a 1997 Dodge Ram truck. The truck turned from County H and traveled south on State Highway 80. The truck veered across the centerline, went over the curb on the east side of the roadway and struck the porch of a vacant resident on Main Street.

The truck and porch of the residence have significant damage.

The driver of the truck was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital. The owner of the vacant residence was contacted and a crash report was completed.

The incident remains under investigation.
