MADISON (WKOW) -- Old St. Nick spent some quality time with northside children and their parents on Saturday.
The Northside Business Association held their annual Breakfast with Santa Saturday morning at the Esquire Club.
The first 300 children who attended got a free gift bag. All of the children who attended could spend some time with Santa.
"The kids enjoy visiting with Santa here and getting to tell him all their wishes and eat a wonderful meal with their families," Laura Groenier, a co-chair for Northside Business Association's Breakfast with Santa, said.
The pancake breakfast benefits northside food pantries. Guests could bring non-perishable food items, paper or hygiene products to donate.
Organizers say they served around 600 people last year.
"It's been growing and growing every year, so we're excited that this is our tenth year and the turnout has been phenomenal," Groenier said. "Every year it seems to get bigger and better. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that helps make this happen every year. We couldn't do it without them."
Over the past 10 years the event has raised 20,000 dollars and more than 600 pounds of food to be donated to area food pantries.
